Ann McKee

Currently lives and works in Boston, Massachusetts and Ogunquit, Maine

Ann McKee is an artist and neuroscientist trying to understand humanity, the human body and the human mind. She is an emerging artist, working in oils, encaustic, flashe and collage. Her work recognizes the duality of the human brain. As a neuroscientist, she explores the universe of the mind, personality, behavior, and cognition; as a painter, she explores color, emotion, passion and identity. The natural world of ocean, salt, earth, rock, flora and the human body are her preferred subjects. She expresses herself through vibrant color, bold strokes and strong shapes, often employing multimedia and narrative collage.
