Ann McKee

Lives and works in Boston, Massachusetts and Ogunquit, Maine

Ann McKee is an artist and neuroscientist trying to understand humanity and the human brain. She works in oils, encaustic, flashe, and collage. As a neuroscientist, she explores the universe of personality, behavior, and cognition; as a painter, she explores emotion, connection, and identity. Her preferred subjects are family, friends, and the natural world of the ocean, earth, and flora. She expresses herself through vibrant color, bold strokes, and strong shapes, often employing multimedia and narrative collage.
